The accused (Samwri Lwanga Goyasi) was sued for illegally cutting trees from Musa Nkulubo's (plaintiff's) forest- causing a loss to the plaintiff. He appealed to the High Court but the court dismissed the case with orders for Nkalubo to pay Lwanga court costs.

This report was made by Eunice Burns, a then member of the Ann Arbor Planning Commission, to look into the potential city purchase of various plots of land from a developer in the North Central area of the city (Michigan Historical Collections staff, n.d.). Given the context of purchase dates and areas, this seller is most likely the landlord who purchased a variety of units in the Beakes, Depot, Main triangle during the early 1960s (see “Related Item(s)”). Of note is that this item directly cites a report from Harriet Fusfeld to the Human Rights Commission several years earlier (see “Related Item(s)”).

A notebook in the collection of former Professor Arthur Kooker, perhaps previously belonging to anti-slavery activist Nathan M. Thomas, details a list of former agents and conductors on the Underground Railroad. The text reads:
"John Cross of Farmington Fulton County Illinois was the man who passed through here in 1842 or 1843 after having fixed on a line on un-ground railroad in Illinois went on to Detroit connecting it with the line in this state."
"Samuel Zug of Detroit was an agent on the Underground Railroad"
