Hello! I am a first-year MSI student studying library and archival science. My work experience lies in public librarianship and I have particular interests in youth services, collection development, and digital record management. Post graduation I hope to return to public libraries and eventually become a library director. I love playing 2D metroidvanias and platformers. My current favorite video game series is Shovel Knight. I have nostalgic memories surrounding playing Super Mario games with my younger siblings and playing Kirby SuperStar Ultra on the Nintendo DS. For this project, I focused on oral history collection. My work included writing our interview script, conducting oral history interviews, and transcribing testimonials used on our site.

I am a 3rd-year dual-degree MSI student at the University of Michigan, studying digital curation and Japanese studies. My focus is in Japanese digital humanities with the hope of working in an academic library or museum curatorial setting with Japanese materials post-graduation. When it comes to video games, I gravitate toward games with a strong focus on narrative, and with my interest in Japan, my favorite genre of video games are Japanese role-playing games (JRPGs), with my favorite video game series being Final Fantasy (particularly Final Fantasy X, XII, and XIV). I also enjoy Kingdom Hearts, Persona, and many other series. For this project, I focused on metadata and item creation/implementation, as well as the Omeka site layout and text.

Hi! I am a first-year MSI student at the University of Michigan interested in archival practices and data science. I have primarily worked in research on digital infrastructure and use of data in teaching. My favorite nostalgic games are Sims 3 and Nintendogs. My older sister and I would play together on the Sims building houses and picking out the perfect outfits for our characters. For this project I primarily worked on collecting nostalgic memories and transcribing them for the archive.

I am a first-year MSI student studying digital curation. I've worked in public libraries for over two years, and I am excited to learn more theory and technical skills related to the profession. While I am open to all possibilities after graduating, I am strongly interested in creative and accessible community engagement as it relates to libraries and archives with a strong focus on digital resources.

Growing up I was always entranced by game media and technology. As a kid, I shared a Game Boy Advance with my siblings, and I would spend hours playing Harvest Moon: More Friends of Mineral Town. This inspired my love of pixel art and cozy RPGs. Today I mostly play Stardew Valley, but I love watching horror game walkthroughs. Feel free to reach out if you are interested in discussing old game media or how to emulate your favorite childhood games.

For this project, I focused on gathering record metadata and sourcing interactive supplemental materials for each game. I also worked on Omeka page layouts related to embedded media, and I researched Fair Use guidelines.

I am a second-year part time Masters student at the University of Michigan’s School of Information with a focus in Digital Curation. I am specifically interested in digitization and digital preservation. While growing up, I really enjoyed playing the first Mario games with my siblings on the older Nintendo consoles. I enjoyed playing Luigi, while everyone else seemed to favor Mario. For this project, I helped create and maintain a Google Drive as we developed our work, worked on the creation of item records and pages, such as the Wii Sports and Minecraft pages, in Omeka, and provided support in making edits and tweaks as our team finalized the online archive.
