Reconciliation Metropolitan Community Church

Reconciliation Metropolitan Community Church was a church founded in 1973 in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Their church was specifically created to serve the queer population in Grand Rapids. They performed same-sex weddings long before it was socially acceptable or even legally binding. They had community activities, such as a Softball team, and, from the photos they donated to the Bentley Historical Library, they seemed to be a very tight-knit community. They stopped formally meeting in 2005.
