Dear Sir: Enclosed is a petition asking your permission to function as a chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha, a national sorority, on the campus of the University. At present there are three members and four pledgees of the organization on the campus. We would appreciate recognition as a group and be in better position to maintain contact with the sorority if such permission is granted. Very truly yours, Rose Ellen Goodloe (Grad) Page 2 of 2 To the Committee on Student Affairs: We, the undersigned members and pledgees of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, do hereby make application for recognition at the University of Michigan and pledge ourselves to abide by all rules and regulations thereof.
