Who We Are: The Authors

Megan Williams (she/her), originally from Dubuque, Iowa, is an archivist and musicologist living in Ann Arbor. She is a graduate student in the School of Information at the University of Michigan and a Library Engagement Fellow. Her interests include sound and visual archives, advocacy in the archives, archival engagement, early United States popular music, and digital curation. She completed an M.M. in Flute Performance and an M.M. in Musicology at the University of Tennessee, and completed doctoral coursework at the University of California, Santa Barbara where she worked at Special Research Collections on projects such as: the Disography of American Historical Records, the Edouard Pecourt Collection and the Charles Kullman Papers. Jordan Rhym (she/her) is a first-year School of Information student at the University of Michigan studying digital curation and archives. Jordan is from Athens, GA and received her BA in cultural anthropology and a minor in African American and diaspora studies from Vanderbilt University in Nashville, TN.
