James Maybrick's Diary The alleged diary of James Maybrick in which he allegedly confesses to the crimes and detailed the killings. This diary, according to a former Liverpool scrap metal merchant Michael Barrett, was found under the floorboards of Maybrick's home and given to him by a friend. The bottom of this page reads. “I give my name that all know of me, so history do tell what love can do to a gentleman born. Yours truly, Jack the Ripper.” Evidence of the legitimacy of this diary are dubious at best, as groundskeeper Michael Barrett later said the diary he found was forged, but retracted his statement a year after- claiming he did not want the media attention.

We Work, We Play Poem A close-up shot of the poem contained within the mural entitled We Work, We Play by Matt Wimsatt
Text:
"We Work, We Play
The unsuspecting child whose life was improved by the knowledge of others.
As we work and as we play, the renewal of the cooperative spirit is driven by the energy of each and every one of us.
The fruit of our labor enriches the soil of the movement, filling the splendid fields with revelers and their ripe offerings.
From mother earth comes our stamina and wisdom, allowing us to leap forward and change the world from day to day.
Matt Wimsatt"
