Dear Miss Porter
I am sorry not to have seen you at any one of the several calls you have made at my office of late and am still more sorry that I shall not be able to call upon you before leaving home for Ohio. Were it possible that I could all I would express to you in person what I shall now do in this note my sincere thanks for the valuable donation of two hundred and fifty six dollars. Will you be so good as to tender my thanks to the Ladies A. S. Society.
Yours Truly and gratefully
