I helped collect the archives we decided to use in our project. In addition to this I created the Mexican History in California page. Growing up in California myself as a Chicana, I felt highlighting solidarity through agriculture in the Mexican and Latinx community would resonate with many community members. I also assisted on the Racialized Housing page and the Criminalization of Black Lives page, by creating descriptions through prior knowledge in course and via the posters themselves. I organized the overall layout of the pages as well to try our best to reflect our goal of being exciting and accesible.

I helped assign metadata from some of the resources pertaining to the Racialized Housing and Criminalization of Black Lives page. I obtained information and added it to the "Description" metadata through the context of the posters themselves.

I helped collect the archives and created the Anti-War Student Action page and the metadata for the items on that page. I gathered information related to the history of anti-war and anti-authoritarian movements and event by students in California and helped create the page that suggests additional sources to provide additional context and reading materials for any users that might want to dive in deeper. I also helped edit grammatical and spelling errors on our site.

I helped collect the arhcives we decided to use in our project, and created the Police Violence page. As an international student, although I've never visited California myself, through the process of collecting and researching the archives I still resonate with the commonalities that lie beneath the surface of historical and cultural distinctions across different eras and places.
